Admission Procedure

The process of admission into all the courses begins with the notification issued by the Principal immediately after the announcement of respective results. Prospectus for admission can be obtained from the College Office on payment of the prescribed fee and the intending candidates are required to submit the completed Application Forms within prescribed time limit. Applications are processed and finalised by the 'Admission Committee'. The admission will follow on merit basis subject to seats available on the day notified for admission at scheduled time and venue.

Eligibility Norms:

The eligibility norms for submission of applications for admission into various courses are as follows:
  • H.S. Course (Arts & Com.) : H.S.L.C. or equivalent recognised examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  • H.S. Course (Science) : H.S.L.C. or equivalent recognised examination with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
  • T.D.C. (Semester) (Arts, Commerce, Science): H.S. in concerned stream or equivalent recognised examination with atleast 45% marks in aggregate for General Course (only for Commerce and at least 50% marks in aggregate for Major Course.
  • B.B. A: H. S. in any stream with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
  • P. G. in Commerce: B.Com with Major Course or B.Com with at least 50% marks in aggregate in General Course
N. B.: Admission will be strictly on merit basis. The merit list will be put up on the College Notice Board and on the College Website on the notified date. THE MERIT LIST IS STRICTLY PROVISIONAL. NO CANDIDATE CAN CLAIM FOR ADMISSION JUST ON THE GROUND THAT HIS / HER APPLICATION HAS BEEN ACCEPTED AND HIS / HER NAME APPEARS IN THE MERIT LIST. The selected candidate must get admitted on the day of admission. In the event of failure to report on the day of admission the selected candidates will have no claims for admission. In case of Degree students, change of Major subject will not be allowed under any circumstances.

DOCUMENTS FOR ADMISSION :

Admission forms duly filled in must be submitted within the stipulated date and time along with the following documents. However, the selected candidates have to show the documents in originals for verification at the time of admission.

  • (i) Attested copies of all Certificates and Marksheets.
  • (ii) Pass & Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution attended last.
  • (iii) H.S.L.C. Admit Card/ Certificate for verification of age.
  • (iv) Certificate for S.C. / S.T. / O.B.C. / M.O.B.C. / P.H. / O.S.P.
  • (v) Two recent coloured passport size photographs .
  • (vi) Library Form.

RESERVATION OF SEATS:

Seats will remain reserved subject to availability of applications in the following order

Students seeking admission under Fringe Village Quota must submit a residential proof certifcate issued by the concerned Gaonburah.

RELAXATION OF MARKS:

  • a) The candidates eligible for reservation shall be given relaxation upto 5% of the marks prescribed for admission except for physically handicapped students.
  • b) Students, who have shown extra-ordinary proficiency in sports etc. at National, Regional, State or Varsity level may be offered seats for admission into various courses of studies.
  • c) Students having Grade in NCC / Scout.
  • d) Descendents of teaching and non-teaching staff shall be admitted irrespective of percentage of marks
